Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has recently launched her clothing
line with Van Heusen. The brand decided to hold a fashion show of her
collection with top models, displaying the collection on the ramp. But
the model turned actress had other ideas, instead of top models she
decided to to have ordinary fans displaying her collection. So she
picked out ten fans from across the country to be groomed and trained by
Deepika herself.
Deepika said, “I thought it would be interesting to pick girls who
identify with the way I dress. We haven’t selected them on the basis of
their looks, height or whether they are experienced models. It was a
random pick from the entries we had.”The diva further added, “I will try to make it as memorable and special for them. I will spend time with them, chat and groom them so that they go back with great memories. I have always been grateful to my fans and, in whatever little way, I have always tried to give back.”
