Director Shakun Batra of ‘Ek Main aur Ek Tu’ fame, is gearing up for his next with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. A story of a dysfunctional family and revolves around two brothers; both are writers by profession and residents of a pristine hill station. Shakun had started his career as an assistant director on ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, Imran’s debut film and had also appeared in the popular song ‘Pappu Can’t Dance Saala’ as Pappu. Shakun’s ‘ also worked assistant director to Farhan and also stood in for an extra in the number ‘Khaike Paan Banaras Wala’.
“Shakun has had several script narrations with Karan and they’ve finally locked the script. Karan is really impressed and they intend to finalise the cast soon.They want to cast Farhan Akhtar and Imran Khan as the brothers but they haven’t been officially approached yet. Karan has asked everyone involved with the project to keep things under wraps as he is planning to make a big announcement soon.”
