Filmmaker Farah Khan’s Diwali release ‘Happy New Year’ is on a record breaking spree. The movie has shattered many a record and continues to do so at the box office. The multistarrer that has Shahrukh Khan Deepika Padukone in the main lead
has opened to a wonderful response. Now, the film seems to have broken the lifetime box office collections of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday’ and Salman’s ‘Jai Ho’.
As per sources, ‘Happy New Year’ has collected Rs 123.86 crores,is one of fastest films to rake in Rs 100 crores at the box office within just three days of its release. Happy New Year has beaten the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s Holiday which stands at Rs 112.65 crores and Salman Khan’s Jai Ho, which stands at Rs 111 crores at the domestic box office, making it the third highest grosser of 2014.
