Ranbir Kapoor the new Brand Ambassador of Tag Heuer

Bollywood heart throb Ranbir Kapoor has just been signed up as the brand ambassador of Tag Heuer. Shahrukh Khan was the sole promoter earlier. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor are the new faces of Royal Stag that was so far exclusively Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s domain. Well the Badshah Khan is still very much a part of the endorsements of both the watch and the liquor brand.At present the brands are targeting the younger crowd ,therefore they they look for actors with a youth appeal and a cool image.

As per sources Shailesh Kapoor, CEO, Ormax Media said that, “This happens every time the generation changes. However, in the past one year, several female stars have done well and advertisers have more options. After 2007, when Deepika Padukone burst into the scene with Om Shanti Om, not many did phenomenally well. There’s Sonakshi Sinha, but she has more of a mass appeal. Alia and Parineeti have a youth connect. We track celeb popularity and in July, Alia has not only made an entry into the top 10 list, but she is at No.5, while Parineeti Chopra is at No.10. Usually, it takes celebrities at least five years to make it to the list!”

Kapoor further added that,, “Forty-plus stars like Salman Khan, SRK, Aamir, etc with the exception of Ranbir Kapoor, are still ruling the roost, but now younger actors like Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Malhotra whose movies have started doing well have started coming in. In fact, Varun Dhawan has made it the list at No.10. This shift has happened in the last one year. ”
