The government has prepared the list of people who will receive the prestigious Padma Awards this year on Republic Day. Bollywood’s Shahenshan Amitabh Bachchan has made it to the list along with south megastar Rajinikanth, yoga guru Baba Ramdev and BJP’s leader LK Advani.
Extremely talented filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, veteran actor Dilip Kumar, music composer Prasoon Joshi and well known writer Salim Khan will also be felicitated.

According to reports, Indian badminton player PV Sindhu and Indian World Champion wrestler Sushil Kumar are most likely to get the award. The founder of the Art of Living Foundation and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Sankar may also be awarded. However, there’s no confirmation from the government on the list of awardees yet.
The final list is yet to be finalised, which will be done by the Prime Minister’s Office, and is most likely to be declared one day before the award ceremony. The Padma Awards ceremony will take place on the Republic Day on January 26.
