RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Army officer was martyred and another was critically injured in an accident on the Motorway while they were travelling from Rawalpindi to Nowshera, the ISPR said.

“An officer, Lt Col Shahid embraced shahadat while Maj Jalal got seriously injured on the Motorway,” said the military’s media wing.According to details, the officers were going back to Nowshera from Rawalpindi in a military convoy this evening.

“At around 2000 hrs, routes were blocked with containers, both officers got down from vehicles and were on foot to find an alternate route for convoy. In the dark of the night, both fell from the road edge into a ditch along the Motorway near Hazro,” said the ISPR.
