Fans of the Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, who were eagerly awaiting to see him romance Kareena Kapoor in ‘Udta Punjab’ will have to wait some more. It seems that it is not Ayushmann Khurrana or Fawad Khan who will romance Bebo, but Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanj who is cast opposite Kareena Kapoor.
Initially it was said that Ayushmann Khurrana will be romancing Kareena Kapoor. Apparenty the Diva was not happy with a less popular actor being cast opposite her, so out went Khurrana and in came Pakistani Heartthrob Fawad Khan. But the actor turned down the offer for reasons unknown, and now the role has gone to Diljit Dosanj. He is a popular name in the Punjabi film and music industry.
For the uninitiated, Diljit has featured in the hit Punjabi romcom Jatt and Juliet and also ventured into the music industry with solo hits. He has collaborated with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for several songs too.
Apart from Kareena Kapoor and Diljit ‘Udta Punjab’ also stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. Hope that there are no more changes in the cast now.
