A lot of girls think that they key to growing their hair out is simply just avoid getting it trimmed.  WRONG!  Avoiding regular trims will actually slow or stop the growth completely.  One benefit to getting regular trims is that it leaves your hair looking healthier—plus it grows faster!

Brushing Too Much

 Believe it or not, this is NOT good for your hair ladies!  Brushing your hair can be one of the most relaxing feelings but don’t get too comfortable doing it a lot!  Not brushing your hair multiple times throughout the day lets the hair absorb the natural oils that it produces to make the hair look healthy and vibrant.


Washing Your Hair Daily

Not washing your hair every day? Gross!  Actually, it’s not at all.  Not washing your hair every day gives the hair the chance to absorb the natural oils that it produces to help it look healthier.  If you wash your hair every day it strips the natural oils and creates a dull and dried out look.

Wearing A Ponytail Every Day

Yes, every girl knows that throwing your hair up to keep it out of your face is the easiest way to style it.  But, wearing a ponytail every day can actually damage your hair, weaken it, and stop growth!  If you need to put your hair up every day, try different methods such as bobby pins to pull it back.

Too Much Conditioner


Conditioning is a many girls favorite part when it comes to washing their hair because it leaves the hair feeling clean and refreshed but the truth is, using less will actually benefit the look of your hair more than it would using a lot.

Coloring Too Much


Even though it’s always fun to change up the color and look of your hair, it is SO bad for it!  Coloring your hair damages it even more than heat does.  Staying away from color products and rocking your natural color will leave your hair looking healthier and shinier

Applying Excessive Heat

Using heat to style your hair is probably part of your daily routine, right?  However, you should try as best as you can to avoid using heat!  Having too much heat applied to your hair will leave it looking dry over time.

Smoking


Smoking is also one of the worst things you could EVER do.  It not only dries out your hair, but it also leaves a strong odor and causes breakage.  If you want to have healthy, vibrant, and shiny hair, we suggest putting the cigarette down!
